An entrepreneur who turned a town around

Pam Dorr, a social entrepreneur, transformed life around in her town, thanks to her knack of using whatever is lying around to build possibility.

She opened a bamboo bike business, which the wild bamboos she utilized were being a nuisance in her community; she baked a pie business from scratch, Pie Lab, that creates jobs for people; and pursues the possibility of establishing a quilt business to “sew together patches of new life.” This, along with a slew of small businesses and new jobs she’s created.
