Rivaayat is an initiative by Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi to revive various dying art form and solve innumerable problems faced by the artisans. Rivaayat began with reviving a 20,000-year-old art form of pottery that is a means of survival for 600 families residing in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
Rivaayat works with a variety of craft clusters in improving their skills, setting up a supply chain and creating direct market linkages and thus, transforming the masters of art into independent entrepreneurs. The initiative was launched in November 2019 at Dastkar Haat, Delhi. Since then, we have helped in sustaining the livelihoods of 17 terracotta pottery artisans residing in the states of Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi.
