Vassar Brothers Medical Center Names Cafe After Philanthropic Couple

Vassar Brothers Medical Center unveiled The O’Shea Cafe during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Au Bon Pain on its campus. The restaurant is named after local philanthropists John and Nancy O’Shea.

The couple has donated their money, time and efforts to the hospital over the course of the years. Nancy O’Shea was a volunteer at the hospital almost 60 years ago. Her husband, John, served on the medical center’s board and as its chairman. Together, they raised funds for the hospital through numerous campaigns.
