Solid Rain: Drought-Defying Powder

Solid Rain, a powder that transforms water into gel, is invented by Mexican chemical engineer Sergio Jesus Rico Velasco.

To address drought and water supply deficiencies due to climate change, Velasco thought up a solution that will enable people to store water for up to one year. Solid Rain is already an award-winning product, and recognized by the Stockhold International Water Institute and the Fundacion Miguel Aleman.
