Social Enterprise Supplies “Mother’s Best Friend” to Provide Communities with Homegrown Solutions

Oakland-based social enterprise Kuli Kuli has produced a snack bar with moringa. Moringa is known as one of those superfoods, even tagged as a “horseradish tree” for its root flavor and “mother’s best friend” for its nutritional value.

Kuli Kuli has invested in moringa to help address malnutrition problems, and perhaps, provide communities with homegrown solutions to sources of income, nutrition, and environmental stability.
