SAP Technology to Empower Small Coffee Farmers in Colombia

The National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia and SAP are developing technology solutions to aid small coffee producers deal with climate change, especially in South America where weather can sometimes prove detrimental to its coffee plantations . This technology will provide farmers connection to information that could save them time and make them more money.

One of these solutions is a coffee portal application created by FNC integrated with a SAP database backend, which is available for mobile phones. FNC bought tablets for coffee growers so they can access real time information about prices, trading and send emails, too.
