Microsoft’s Carbon Fee Funds Green Projects Around the World

Last year, Microsoft pledged to become carbon neutral and derived a policy which began charging business divisions for the carbon they emit.

Now, Microsoft is currently backing 15 diverse green projects around the world. Some of these projects include a biodiversity conservation in Brazil, a sustainable farming and reforestation in Kenya, and a wind farm in China among others. Microsoft, currently the second largest green power-using business in the US (after Intel), has chosen to invest in carbon offsets, and all projects selected are independently validated and verified by The Carbon Neutral Company.
