Malloy Backs Social Enterprise

Vishal Patel and Onyeka Obiocha were just two entrepreneurs at the reSET co-working space in Hartford who goaded lawmakers and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy to enable them to switch from an LLC to a “b-corp” (benefit corporation) designation.

Their social enterprise, A Happy Life, is a company that delivers coffee from underserved countries like Bolivia, Costa Rica, and Tanzania. All of the sale’s profits from the coffee returns to the coffee farmers in these communities.
