An Accidental Social Enterprise

Helen Trevaskis was inspired during her trips to India. As she visited the poverty-stricken slums of Bangalore, Delhi, Agra and Bombay, Trevaskis chose to create Clean Hands Inc, a fledgling social enterprise to improve health in developing countries through improved hand hygiene.

Trevaskis observes that what her social enterprise needs is “clarity of vision, ambition and action”. Her team is currently inventing affordable, attractive hand cleansing products designed specifically with the needs of low-income households, which they will market through a scalable social business.
