Social Enterprise Serves Breaducation to Positively Impact Lives

Hot Bread Kitchen, established by international design agency Pentagram and spearheaded by partner Abbott Miller, is a social enterprise bakery that bakes regional and ethnic bread products and provides paid, on-the-job training and lessons in English and entrepreneurship to New York’s immigrant and low-income women.

The bakery serves a handful of ‘breaducation’ not only to women, but also to individuals and small startups. The bakery also acts as an incubator for food startups, with a rented on-site kitchen geared for small entrepreneurs.
