As I look out at this gathering today, it rather speaks for itself of the formidable strength that the sector has acquired over the years.
I want to make sure I do everything I can as First Minister to try to enable that to be the case as we take a course through many of the challenging times that lie in front of us.
There are also significant worries and anxieties that come with that Budget, not least of which is the implications of the increase in employers' National Insurance contributions.
