"Scores of youths and women who are unemployed are neither unintelligent nor lazy but are financially handicapped and lack enterprise development assistance needed to set up and grow their businesses," Kennedy Iyere said at the unveiling of the entrepreneurship enhancement fund for youths and women in Nigeria on Friday.
"The need to address the financial constraints faced by youth and women entrepreneurs is why we are compelled to establish FeeFund."
Iyere, a social entrepreneur and humanitarian activist, said the fund, which will kick off on June 7, 2024, would be driven by a team of advocates, the Guardian reports.
He warned that rising youth unemployment could lead to social unrest if not addressed.
