Ukraine's economy has been in freefall since the fall of the Soviet Union, and the country is now looking to Germany for help.
The country is holding its first-ever Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin on June 10, with the goal of getting international support for the country's recovery, Business Insider reports.
"Upholding the spirit of previous Ukraine Reform Conference, URC2024 will also showcase the progress of Ukraine's reforms in the context of its economic resilience and EU accession process," says the conference's website.
Among the topics to be discussed: the country's integration into the European Union, as well as how to create "attractive conditions for businesses to invest in the private sector in Ukraine and civil society to engage in the process of reconstruction."
