India's Rohan Bopanna just became the oldest Grand Slam champion in tennis history.
The 43-year-old won the Australian Open mixed doubles with Rohan Bopanna on Sunday, making him the world's No.
1 doubles player, reports the BBC.
It was the first Grand Slam win for Bopanna, who also won the French Open mixed doubles in 2017 and the Asian Games gold medal in 2023.
"It's remarkable what he has achieved on the global stage at 43," says Lloyd Mathias of impactAngel, per the Times of India.
"It will boost his image and strengthen the brand Bopanna."
Bopanna runs a tennis academy, is a certified Barista, and has his coffee line (Rohan Bopanna Master Blend) with Maverick & Farmer, sourced from his estate in Coorg.
He's also an investor in ventures including sports tech platform Game Theory and Good Flippin' Burgers.
"He has not only reignited renewed interest in a premium and seemingly inaccessible sport in the country but also built an aspiration for young players while epitomizing the spirit of young India to succeed against all odds," says the co-founder of the sports marketing firm representing Bopanna.
