Prince Harry's younger brother has a plan to change the face of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careersand it involves turning go-karts into electric karts.
The Blair Project, a Manchester, England-based social enterprise founded by Nile Henry after he was inspired by his younger brother, Blair, to get young people from diverse backgrounds into STEM careers, has announced the appointment of five members to its new advisory board, the Manchester Evening News reports.
"The high level skills, expertise, and connections of our advisory board will help us to drive further growth and become a global EdTech provider for emerging technologies," Henry says in a statement.
The advisory board members include Zulf Ali, CEO of York Medical Group; Marie Hamilton Greater Manchester region lead, Microsoft; Richard Mack, executive security consultant, IBM; Mike Perls MBE, founder and chair, MC2; Giles Chesher, corporate partner, Squire Patton Boggs.
The Blair Project's outreach arm, the ProtoEV STEM Challenge, retrofits go-karts into electric karts, then tests and races them at the peak of the program.
It also runs day and half-day activities in schools, to introduce a younger age group to all the possibilities of science,
