What started out as a joke has turned into a real job for a disabled man in the Philippines, Yahoo Sports reports.
"When I'm not in the workspace, my staff would play cell phones and stools, and even play until the wee hours of the morning," says Dave Beltran, who runs a company that employs people with disabilities in the Philippines.
So he reached out to a company called Moonton Cares that was looking for a way to get the word out about its work.
Beltran's company employs people with disabilities to play a popular mobile game called Mobile Legends: Knockout Bang Bang, and Moonton Cares reached out to Harl's Handcrafted, a leather crafting company based in the Philippines.
The result: leather bags, wallets, and coins from both companies.
"I saw how beautiful esports is," Beltran tells Yahoo.
"Being a Dragon Boat athlete himself, [he] likened the discipline of my people to any other sport that required practice, discipline, and presence of mind."
