When it comes to waste, Ohio's Mid-Ohio Valley has some of the lowest rates in the nation, according to a new study from the University of Michigan's Ross Business School.
The study, published in the Journal of Social Entrepreneurship, found that the region's average household waste is 20% less than the national average, and the average amount of solid waste produced in the region is 15% less than the national average, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
But that's not all.
The study also found that the Mid-Ohio Valley's average household income is twice as high as the national average, and the average amount of solid waste produced in the region is three times as high as the national average.
That means the area has some of the highest waste rates in the nation, but it's not all bad news.
