When Pramod Raj first moved to the US from his native India, he had no idea he'd end up in Silicon Valley.
But that's exactly what happened, per the New York Daily News, with the 28-year-old founder of Creatigrity Technologies and Three Point Solutionsan IT recruitment and consulting firmnow worth an estimated $80 million, thanks in large part to his YouTube channel, which has more than 11 million subscribers and has racked up more than 50 million views since he launched in 2013.
Raj, who moved to the US in 2011, says he was inspired to start his own company after a chance meeting with a bank branch manager while working as a waiter in Delhi, where he struggled with English.
He went on to complete his education, hone his English, and as a resume- formatting operative, all while working as a recruiter for a bank in the UK.
Now, he says, he's helped more than 8,000 people from underprivileged backgrounds find promising careers.
"I want to inspire the next generation of leaders," he tells the Daily News, which has a profile of him here.
