The 38-year-old's net worth is estimated at $20 million, and he has given away more than $3 billion, the magazine reports.
The Rhodes Scholarship winner was born in Baltimore and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins, a master's degree from Oxford, and a captain in the US Army.
He also wrote his first book, The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates, and has spoken at conferences and events around the world.
He has been married since 2010.
