The founder of a hospital in northern India has been named the country's social entrepreneur of the year, the Times of India reports.
Shuchin Bajaj runs Ujala Cygnus Healthcare, which operates 20 hospitals in five states.
According to the hospital's website, about 6 million people in India go below the poverty line because of the cost of medical care.
"This number is huge and we have to do a lot with responsibility for it as a big health care setup coming in a responsible medical health sector," says Bajaj.
Ujala Cygnus is aiming to treat 50 million people in the next five years.
