The co-founder and CEO of a social media app that allows parents to keep tabs on their kids is now the subject of a viral video that's gone viral.
Chris Hulls, who co-founded Life360 in 2008, tells Entrepreneur that he was at a friend's house a few years ago when a kid told him: "He was older than me, had teenagers, and his kid said, 'He's a TikTok guy.' And I was like, 'No, I don't even have TikTok.' What are you talking about?'" That's when Hulls learned he was the subject of a meme making the rounds.Teenagers wanted to know who started Life360, and once they discovered it was Hulls, they made his headshot the background of their videos while they performed skits that vilified him set to different sounds and music.
"It wasn't just teens having fun anymore," Hulls says.
"It was actually spreading to parent influencers, and we were like, 'OK, we need to do something here.' And all of the vilified videos were like, 'Oh, we need to do something here.'" So Hulls created a new feature for Life360
