When Lebogang Moloto started selling cleaning products in South Africa's Limpopo province in 2021, she noticed a gap in the market.
"I noticed that most of my competitors focused on product costs but neglected the quality of the product altogether," the 35-year-old founder of Real Makoya Cleaning Chemicals tells IOL.
"It becomes difficult for them to compete with multinational brands....
I am focusing on affordability and quality."
So she founded her company, which makes bubble bath products, cleaning soaps, and dishwashers, and is currently selling its products at five Spar stores in Polokwane.
Moloto says she plans to expand to other parts of South Africa and eventually into international markets.
But for now, she's focusing on South Africa.
