Ayotunde Fabamwo, a 29-year-old marketing expert in Nigeria, has been named a United Nations Global Ambassador for the Most influential people of African descent under the age of 40, the Guardian reports.
"The prestigious award was presented to him at the United Nations headquarters in New York, highlighting his significant contributions to the society," the Guardian quotes a statement from the UN as saying.
Fabamwo, who also goes by Ayotunde on social media, is the head of digital and strategy marketing at GoFundMe, Nigeria's largest crowdfunding platform.
"In the Nigerian marketing industry, Ayotunde Fabamwo is making an exceptional stride," the Guardian quotes a statement from GoFundMe as saying.
"Armed with an education at Babcock University and Southhampton University, the Akure born expert prepared well for life honing his skills in marketing and has won major awards for his outstanding roles."
