One of the world's top hospitals is teaming up with an Israeli couple to invest in startups focused on digital health and medical devices, the AP reports.
ARC Innovation at Sheba Medical Center has launched Shoni Health Ventures, which has already invested in five healthtech startups: Quant Health, AISAP, CoPilotMD, FeelBetter, and Append Medical.
Ran Greenberg, a doctor with a doctorate in cell biology and a board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Sarah Greenberg, a business and social entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in venture capital investments, plan to use their resources to support entrepreneurs in various aspects of their company's growth.
"With the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, bio-convergence, and other technologies, we are just beginning to see the impact of digital and smart solutions on the future of health," says Eran Lerer, CEO and managing partner of Shoni Health Ventures.
"Many healthtech startups around the world are struggling to attract early-stage investors.Consequently, many potential innovative solutions that could significantly improve global health remain unrealized."
