If you're an entrepreneur in India, there's a pretty good chance you've been nominated for an awardand if you win, you'll walk away with a cool $1 million.
That's because the country's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology handed out the top prize at the MetKonnect Business Awards in Mumbai last week, Quartz reports.
The awards, which recognize "outstanding achievements in entrepreneurship," are organized by MetKonnect, a "leading business community platform" in India, per a press release.
This year's winners included Shubhangi Ganesh, who took home the top prize in the "Start-up Company of the Year" category for his company, Shubhangi Goritiyal, which works with "unemployed youth to start their own businesses," per Quartz.
Other winners included Prernaa Makhariaa, who took home the top prize in the "Renowned Jewellery Blogger" category for her blog, Prernaa Makhariaa, which bills itself as "the first Indian blog to break the Internet of Things."
But it wasn't all good news for Goritiyal: She was also nominated in the "Female Entrepreneur of the Year" category, as well as the "Best Use of
