Matteo Bergamini may not be a household name in the US, but he's making an impact in the UK.
The 31-year-old, CEO of social enterprise Shout Out UK, has been named an Member of the Most Distinguished Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Prince Charles for services to charity, social enterprise, and education, the Guardian reports.
The honor is bestowed on individuals who have demonstrated outstanding and impactful service to the community.
Bergamini's work focuses on political and media literacy and helping young people "develop their critical thinking and resilience to disinformation," according to the honor's website.
He started Shout Out UK in 2011 after graduating from London Metropolitan University with a BA in politics and history and a graduate diploma in law.
His group works with schools, youth groups, and other organizations to provide political and media literacy training, as well as policy brief training and public speaking training.
"None of which could have been achieved without my incredible team and our amazing partners in education and government," Bergamini said in a statement.
