It's not every day that a politician's daughter gets to launch a book based on her father's life, but that's exactly what happened to Zeba Malik, daughter of Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar.
Pawar, who died last year at the age of 69, launched Malik Liyaqat Husain's book at a function in Mumbai last week, the Indian Express reports.
The book chronicles the life of Malik, who served as a member of India's Legislative Assembly from 1990 to 2003, and was known for his hard-hitting style of politics.
"He was a good human being and was a dedicated politician always concerned on the people and their problems," Pawar said at the event.
"We can't forget his social service and the work he has done for the sake of humanity."
Malik's daughter said she was lucky to be a part of the book launch.
"That she will never forget it was through this Book Launch event that her very purpose to pay tribute to her father who served his whole life for the society and Nation paid off," she said.
