Dr. Usha Nair is a holistic health coach, a certified genomic wellness consultant, and the first author in India to have written a book on the science of Nutrigenomics.
She's also a Permanent Representative to the UN for the NGO International Human Rights Council, a member of the Maharashtra Acupuncture Council, and a student of the Art of Living.
She's also a trained meditation teacher, naturopath, and soon to be an ART of Living teacher, among other things.
But it's her passion for nutrigenomics, or natural medicine, that has led her to this disruptive science of nutrigenomics in health care, she tells Hello Mumbai News.
"It basically helps you understand the root causes of diseases come to you," Nair says.
"Whether it is genetic, whether it is not genetic, it is your surroundings, your environments, your habits, your lifestyle or it is just simply because of stress or lack of activity.
Whatever it may be, whatever it may be, we help improve our health, complete our life, to take care of our health, our gender's social, economic, and political achievements through their successful journey in their field and to call attention to the need to end gender-based violence in our society."
