Bjorn Billhardt, CEO of Abilitie, has donated $1 million of his company's shares to the school, per a press release.
Billhardt says he believes "the Plan II Honors Program and the School of Undergraduate Studies are vital to the education of the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs," per the Austin American-Statesman.
Billhardt's donation will benefit UT Austin's Plan II Honors Program, "one of the top liberal arts programs in the country," per the press release.
The program combines the study of humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences and prepares students for leadership roles in various fields.
UT Austin's School of Undergraduate Studies, meanwhile, "provides a wide range of academic programs, services, and support for students, including administration of the national model Flag and Signature Course programs that broaden and strengthen the education of all UT undergraduates," per the press release.
