The European Venture Philanthropy Association and Yerevan's Impact Hub have teamed up to create the Via Fund, an impact investment fund for social enterprises in Armenia.
The fund, which was launched Dec. 14, aims to "support social enterprises in achieving their goals and scaling their impact by bringing impact investment culture and experience to the local ecosystem in Armenia," EVPA says in a press release.
"Social entrepreneurship is business with heart and social impact," says EU Ambassador to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin at the fund's launch event.
"Armenia deserves and needs it. You can count on the EU's continued support."
