That's the vision of Indian-American aviation entrepreneur Dinakara Nagalla, who has just launched Saayam, a new app that allows people to donate money, goods, or services to causes of their choosing.
The app, which is based on the blockchain technology of Bitcoin, also allows users to track how much they've donated and how their donations are being received, TechCrunch reports.
"I was fortunate enough to grow up watching how my aunt, Dr.anga Devi, created an ecosystem of relentless giving and infused that idea of giving into many that interacted with her for close to 85 plus glorious years of life," Nagalla says in a press release.
"While she never asked me or anyone to 'give' for a cause, I naturally got motivated by seeing how her actions are making a phenomenal difference in the lives of many underprivileged," adds Nagalla, who has already contributed to causes including the shelter for abused women and children and the empowerment of orphans and vulnerable children.
