"You must muster the courage to move through the hurdles to chart the way forward."
That's what 16-year-old Udit Singhal tells climate activist Priyanka Prakash in an interview that's part of the Protect Our Planet Movement's "Net Zero Speaks" series.
Singhal is the founder of Glass2Sand, a "carbon-negative" initiative that seeks to eliminate all glass from landfills, and he's also a United Nations Young Leader for the 2020-22 period, per a press release.
"You have to lead people your way, and I've also had the opportunity to strategize closely with various UN organizations to encourage solution-driven youth-led climate action," says Singhal, who started Glass2Sand at age 16 and was named a UN Young Leader last year.
In the Net Zero interview, Singhal talks about his journey so far and what he's learned.
"I've learned that you can't just wait for something to happen," he says.
