If you're a woman in India who's home-based and looking to get recognition for your home business, you're in luck.
The Tamil Nadu government has launched the fifth season of the Masala Homepreneur Awards, which recognizes home-based women entrepreneurs in 13 categories, including retail, arts and culture, sports and fitness, food and beverage, and education and literature, per City Today.
The awards, organized by Brand Avatar, help home-based women home-based entrepreneurs find recognition, mentors, and financial support, per a press release.
"They also take up work as freelancers," says the founder of Brand Avatar.
"These homepreneurs make a world of difference to the local community by creating and supplying quality products and services," he adds.
"Given a right platform to share their entrepreneurial ideas, and plans to scale up their dream ventures through entrepreneurship from home, we have instituted the Homepreneurs award to bring to the limelight maximum of 30 deserving home-based entrepreneurs."
