Burna Boy, William Ruto Land a Spot on 'Time' 2024 Most Influential People

Time is out with its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, and three Africans are among them: Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy, Kenyan President William Ruto, and South African rugby captain Siya Kolisi.

The rest of the African honorees: LGBTQ+ advocate Frank Mugisha of Uganda: "For his courageous stance against his country's stringent anti-gay legislation."

Human rights activistienne Lusenge of the Democratic Republic of Congo: "For her tireless work in combating sexual and gender-based violence and advocating for women's political participation."

South African rugby captain Siya Kolisi: "His leadership skills, particularly showcased during South Africa's Rugby World Cup victory, earned him recognition for bringing hope to his nation."
