A 15-year-old social entrepreneur in Bangladesh has been named the country's Glocal Teen Hero.
Tamzid Rahman is working with BloodLink, a peer-to-peer blood portal in Bangladesh; he's also working on the Plenty Project, an online resource for people dealing with menstrual hygiene issues, reports the New York Times.
He's also created a mobile app that allows blood donors and recipients to interact easily.
"He has not only launched the mobile app but made blood request interactions more seamless with end-to-end encryption," says a press release from KidsRights Netherlands, where Tamzid works.
"He wants to work on innovation next, with this enterprise."
