South Africa is honoring Nelson Mandela with a week of events in his memory, and one business school in particular is making a point to honor the late icon in its own way, the New York Times reports.
On Thursday, the South African School of Business at the University of Cape Town will hold an event called "Rebuilding Mandela's South Africa" and will feature a panel discussion on the topic.
"Mandela is a part of the soul of South Africa and we wanted to explore how we stay true to his legacy or reinvent ourselves to realize it, especially across different generations since 1994," says the school's head of brand.
Among the speakers: Simon Susman, honorary president of Woolworths Holdings; Ross Faragher-Thomas, non-executive member and director of TSIBA Ignition Academy; Graham Abdurahman, chairperson of the Allan Gray Orbis Fellow and co-founder of the student society TSIBA Earth.
