Goodwall is a social enterprise app that connects people around the world, and Cameroon's First Lady Chantal Biya is using it to help her country's young people "get engaged with a world of entrepreneurial thinking and furthering their careers or education through access to educational scholarships and funding opportunities," per a press release.
Biya, who's the UN's Goodwill Ambassador for Cameroon, is using the app to launch Better Cameroon, a program "that leverages technology and global partner networks to help millions of young people navigate the pandemic-stricken job market and positively impact society," the press release notes.
The app will offer four challenges: one on women's empowerment, one on career development, one on improving the environment, and one on entrepreneurship.
Participants can register for the challenges on Goodwall, and if they win one of them, they'll get a chance to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, who will then make a decision on whether they've got what it takes to make it on the world stage.
Goodwall, which has nearly 1.9 million members in more than 150 countries, offers more than $1.5 million in scholarships and awards, the press release notes.
