The National Association of Women Business Owners Philadelphia Center for Advancing Entrepreneurs is seeking female business owners in the Greater Philadelphia area for its Women Business Owner Awards.

According to the organization, the Women Business Owner Awards will recognize female business owners that combine an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community.

In a press release, Michele Schina, president of the Philadelphia Center for Advancing Entrepreneur, said that it was time for the Philadelphia region to honor those women who are exemplary leaders of both their own companies and their communities.

Shina added that the awards will be presented in November, at the Philadelphia Center for Advancing Entrepreneurs' annual gala. The recipients of the Women Business Owner Awards will be honored as part of that event.

Applications are now being accepted for the inaugural 2019 awards to recognize women owners of small, medium and large companies in the Greater Philadelphia region. Nominations and applications are due by August 16.
